Mobile number will change from January
Mobile number will change from January
The Department of Telecom (DoT) has approved a change in the digits of mobile numbers. After the approval of the government, the dialing pattern on cellular mobiles will be changed from fixed line. This means that it will now be mandatory to dial zero before making a call to a cellphone from any landline. This rule will take effect from January 1, 2021. In addition, the Department of Telecom has directed the telecom companies to provide details of the series of mobile numbers allotted
Your mobile number will be 11 digits instead of 10
A proposal to change the dialing of mobile numbers was announced by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), which has been approved by the Department of Telecom. According to TRAI, having a 11-digit mobile number instead of 10 will increase the availability of mobile numbers in the country. A few days ago, several proposals were made to the government by TRAI to change the mobile number. It also includes a new National Numbering Plan. At the same time, it was recommended by TRAI to release a separate mobile number series for dongles. Which is advised to number 13 instead of 10.

The number of mobile users in India is steadily increasing. They need a new mobile number. For this, there has been a long-standing demand from TRAI to change the mobile number from 10 to 11 digits. It is hoped that the number of new mobile numbers will be in the tens of millions instead of the 11-digit number instead of 10 in the series of mobile numbers.
