Tax relief: Standard deduction likely to go up from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh, it will benefit jobs

Tax relief: Standard deduction likely to go up from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh, it will benefit jobs

Standard deductions likely to increase due to work-from-home costs

The exemption limit for tax evading investments may be increased

The standard deduction is likely to increase in the budget to be presented on February 1. It is likely to be increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh. Apart from this, the exemption under tax saving investments may also increase.

Standard deductions are expected to increase due to work-from-home costs

Industry union FICCI has expressed hope that the standard deduction for job seekers will be increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh due to rising costs and inflation associated with work from home. The Ministry of Finance had given the benefit of standard deduction to the people in the 2018 budget. A standard deduction is an amount that is paid directly after income. Tax is calculated on the remaining amount only.

Exemption can be found in the new tax system on donations

In the last budget, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a new structure for income tax. However, there is no provision for exemption other than NPS. Donors can get the benefit of deduction in the next budget.

Under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, any person, United Hindu Family (HUF) or company, can avail tax exemption on donations made to any fund or charitable organization. The condition is that the organization to which you make this donation must be registered with the government. Donations can be made by check, draft or cash. However, donations above Rs 2,000 in cash will not get the benefit of tax deduction.

The limit on tax saving investments may be increased

The government may increase the tax exemption limit for other tax saving investments, including section 80C. At present there is a provision of exemption of up to Rs 1.5 lakh under Section 80C and up to Rs 50,000 under Section 80CCD (1B) for NPS. 80C includes investments like PPF, home loan principal, NSS.

Exemption limit may increase on health insurance premium

The government may increase the tax benefit on health insurance premium under section 80D. Under 80D, there is a tax deduction for paying up to Rs 25,000 in premiums for health insurance for spouses and children. Apart from this, there is a rebate of Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 (if the parents are senior citizens) on the payment of insurance premium for the dependent parents.

In 1968, Biden served as a clerk at a Wilmington law firm headed by prominent local Republican William Prickett where he thought himself as a 'Republican' and disliked incumbent Democratic Delaware governor Charles L. Terry. He rather supported liberal Republican, Russell W. Peterson.

In 1969, he started practising law as a public defender and then at a firm headed by a locally active Democrat where he subsequently registered as a Democrat.

In 1970, he ran for the 4th District Seat on the New Castle County Council on a liberal platform. He won the General Election and took office on 5 January 1971 and served till 1 January 1973. He was succeeded by Democrat Francis R. Swift.

In 1972, he defeated Republican incumbent J. Caleb Boggs to become the junior U.S. senator from Delaware. He had no chance of winning as his campaign had almost no money and was the only Democrat to challenge Republican incumbent J. Caleb Boggs. His family members campaigned for him-- meeting the voters face-to-face and distributing papers.

In 1993, Biden voted in favour of banning gays from serving in the armed forces and in 1996, in favour of Defense of Marriage Act. The Act prohibited the federal government from recognizing same-sex marriages. In the Obergefell v. Hodge case, the Act was ruled unconstitutional in 2015.

On 9 June 1987, he declared his candidacy for the 1988 Democratic Presidential nomination. However, after his false or exaggerated claims over his early life, Biden withdrew from the race on 23 September 1987.

Use of worldwide rupee
The Straits Settlements was originally the outpost of British Malay Archipelago Company. In 187, the Indian rupee was made the only official currency within the Straits Settlements because it was operated as a part of British India. The move was opposed by locals. However, the Spanish dollar continued to circulate and 1845 introduced a coin for the Straits Settlements employing a system of 100 cents = 1 dollar, during which the dollar was adequate to the Spanish dollar or the Mexican peso . In 1867, the administration of the Straits Settlements was separated from India and therefore the Straits dollar dollar was made the quality currency, and attempts to reintroduce the rupee were eventually abandoned..

The Government of India introduced the Gulf Rupee - also referred to as the Persian Gulf Rupee - replacing the Indian rupee with the Federal Reserve Bank of India Act of 1 May 1959 for circulation outside the country. The plan to create a separate currency was to scale back the strain on India's foreign reserves through gold smuggling. After India devalued the rupee on June 6, 1966, those countries still use it - Oman, Qatar and therefore the True States exchanged the Gulf rupee for his or her own currency. Kuwait and Bahrain have already done so with the Kuwaiti dinar in 1961 and therefore the Bahraini dinar in 1965, respectively

There is a simple rule of life and that if there is no discipline then there is no progress.

A river reaches the ocean and becomes ocean by flowing under discipline.  By tying in discipline, a vine rises from the ground and attains a tree-like height, and while under discipline, the air itself becomes fragrant by incorporating the fragrance of flowers into itself and fills the four directions with fragrance.

When water is inferior, it takes the form of flood, air becomes inferior to discipline, then it becomes a storm and if fire becomes inferior, it becomes a cause of great destruction.  In the same way, indiscipline leads to the destruction of one's own life as well as to others.

If the train moves in discipline, the enjoyment of the journey increases further.  In the same way, if life is also under discipline, the joy of life journey increases further.

It is also important to have discipline in your hands for the horse of life to continue on its path of progress either by abandoning autocracy or arrogance, or running towards its goal.

We can never be happy by escaping from adversities.  Life is attained by facing them.  To understand how a human being is made from a human being to a human being and a human being to a Narayan, one has to understand the life of Lord Krishna.

There were major disparities, adverse situations in the life of Shri Krishna, but he did not get discouraged, he faced victory with firmness.  His amazing strength made him one of the most venerable days.

Today we try to avoid the poison of venom.  These undeserved efforts lead to sadness on our faces.  Do not run away and face it so that our life can become as worthy of being called as Shri Krishna devotee.
