www.gsssb.gujarat.gov.in – Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board (GSSSB) is a Government sector company in India. They have branches and regional head offices all over the country. To fulfill the requirement of staff GSSSB recruits personnel from all over the country. They conduct exams to recruit the vacant places in GSSSB.The "Staff Selection Commission" was formed to carry out the functions assigned to it from Resolution No. of the General Administration Department of the Government of Gujarat.


It was decided to keep the name of this commission "Gujarat Karmachari Sandagi Mandal" for the purpose of making it more specific considering the name of the commission, its functions, scope of work, etc. Therefore, since there cannot be two commissions, the name of the Mandal has been changed to "Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board" from the Resolution of the SWA Department. This office has the status of the head office of the department.

Duties of Gujarat Secondary Service Selection Board
Vacancies to be filled by direct recruitment of a non-secretariat cadre of class-II, filling of vacancies of non-technical and technical cadres of class-II of heads of departments/departments under the state government, self. To provide compassionate employment to the dependents of the employees, to conduct departmental examinations of all the cadres of class-3 of all the departments/heads of departments under the State Government, etc.
