The cult of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami, disciple and successor ideal first is the hub of the Swaminarayan philosophy. Subsequently, the gurus who have followed in the Swaminarayan Sampradaya have continued the work of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The guru Swami was first Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand. He was succeeded by Bhagatji Maharaj, Shastriji Maharaj, Maharaj Yogiji, and the current guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
In 1907, in accordance with Vedic preaching Bhagwan Swaminarayan Maharaj established Brahmaswarup Shastriji Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha Shri (PAB).

As the Ekantik Bhakti Sampradaya believes in God and a form, Mandirs. Shastriji Maharaj built five Mandirs and consecrated by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Aksharbrahman murtis Gunatitanand Swami (Akshar Purushottam Maharaj). He was succeeded by Yogiji Maharaj, has inspired and guided global growth of BAPS, inspiring person and devote more than 700 Mandirs. The Mandirs Akshardham in New Delhi and Gandhinagar, Gujarat, embody the glory of Indian culture, values and principles for the uplift of mankind. The traditional shikarbaddh Mandirs in London, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta and Toronto have attracted worldwide attention.
