 Launch of "Mission Rainbow" 4.0 in Gujarat, IMI 4.0 Portal Launched

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia has launched the fourth phase of Mission Rainbow 4.0 for pregnant sisters and children in 12 states of the country. Minister Mansukhbhai Mandvia has requested all the states to work in a participatory manner to ensure that the Mission Rainbow campaign reaches far and wide areas of the states.


Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia has launched the fourth phase of Mission Rainbow 4.0 for pregnant sisters and children in 12 states of the country. Minister Mansukhbhai Mandvia has requested all the states to work in a participatory manner to ensure that the Mission Rainbow campaign reaches far and wide areas of the states. He expressed the hope that the various types of vaccines provided under Mission Rainbow would make the beneficiaries useful and healthy.


India has set an excellent example of collaborative efforts around the world with the vaccination of 170 crore corona amidst the corona epidemic. Today, other countries of the world are praising the work of India's Corona Vaccination Campaign. Citing a survey, the Union Health Minister said that before 2014, the proportion of various vaccines was 43 per cent which today has risen to 76 per cent across the country. Mission Rainbow, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is determined to reach more than 90 per cent of the country's population. To achieve this, the Union Health Department is committed to the joint efforts of other states of the country, said Mansukhbhai.



Mission Rainbow 4.0 launched in Gujarat. Will be operational in three phases on 7th February, 7th March and 4th April. Under this campaign, various health related vaccines will be given to pregnant sisters and children in 33 districts and 8 Municipal Corporations of the state. The campaign will also provide vaccines against tetanus, jaundice, polio, tuberculosis, diphtheria, measles, pneumonia caused by Hib bacteria, and diseases like meningitis and measles and rubella.


Children under the age of two and pregnant sisters of the state are to be covered under the universal vaccination program. The aim of the vaccination campaign is to provide immunization services to children above the age of two years at any vaccination session. It is to be noted here that Mission Indradhanush has been successfully implemented in the state from 2012 to 2021. During this time a total of 9,61,380 children and 2,05,925 pregnant women have been covered under vaccination services by organizing 1,94,193 additional vaccination / affection sessions.
