Swachh Bharat Vidyalaya has been started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Ministry of Education) Swachh from the year 2013. Swachh Vidyalaya Award (SVP) was launched in 2016 (Swachh Bharat - Swachh Vidyalaya) under SBSV. - After 2016-17 and 2017-18, SVP is being planned in 2022. Aims to recognize the best performing schools with water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in schools to inspire other schools; Awards were also given to the best performing districts and states for recognizing good WASH related efforts in schools and inspiring other districts and states.
