On ocassion of National Day today, to celebrate second anniversary of Fit India Movement and as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur launched the Fit India Mobile Application at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi.
As a part of the Fit India Movement, the Central Government launched the Fit India mobile application.

The Honorable Prime Minister of India launched the Fit India Movement on August 13, 2021 with the aim of making physical fitness a way of life. Fit India Movement aims at behavioral changes, from a sedentary lifestyle to a physically active daily lifestyle. Fit India will only be successful when it becomes a popular movement. We have to play the role of catalysts.
"How to live" should be the first pillar of formal education. This involves teaching and practicing the art of caring for your body and health on a daily basis. Schools have to be the first formal institution after the home where physical fitness is taught and practiced.
In the above context, the Fit India Mission encourages schools to organize a Fit India School Week in the month of November / December. She has also prepared a set of Fit India School Certification with simple and easy parameters.
