‘Cultivation of virtues watered by education’ means Gunotsava. Gunotsava is a program that diagnoses every aspect of education and suggests remedial recommendations. It is a noble attempt to move from self development to school development. Gunotsav means ‘Festival of Qualities’ It is a day to evaluate the qualities of student, teacher, school and parents, Gunotsav is an inspiration for teachers. Quantitative and qualitative improvement in primary education in the state is gaining momentum. Whether all the measures and facilities taken to improve the quality of education have been adequately utilised? How much impact has it had? A program to learn where and how waste is left, followed by remedial education through remedial classes, can transform children’s education. Attention can be drawn to poor quality of teachers and apathy of parents. High officials go to school through Gunotsava. And the actual situation of the village as well as the school is known. Thus evaluation of student, teacher and school pace, progress is Gunotsava. “Qualification” is a part of Motivation. What is missing in the progress of the school? Where are the obstacles? Being aware of it. It is a shared noble endeavor to improve the quality of education by understanding and debating the barriers.
Gunotsav Objectives : –
To develop an accountability system for the quality of education.
Quality improvement in government and grant-in-aid schools.
Evaluation of academic and co-curricular affairs of the school
Developing capacity at the school level for evaluation.
Creating awareness among teachers, parents and community.
To take policy decisions based on the results of Gunotsava.

This program is done in two ways. In some schools of the state, evaluation is done by officers and post-officers and in all other schools (through school self-evaluation booklet).

A special remedial program for dear children scoring 0 to 4 in reading, writing and arithmetic.
Organized Swami Vivekananda Reading Festival
Intensive education by teachers dear children
Inclusion of schools of other medium besides Gujarati medium.
Based on the results of the Gnovatsav, each school and teacher is informed of the grade received.
Each child is given a unique ID number.
A child tracking system based on learning outcomes was developed.
OMR instead of online data entry. based system.

Every year, the results of the Gunotsav and its results in Gujarat state are given in the form of a certificate. Each school can download its property from the school certificate online portal, every teacher can download their class teacher certificate. Also, you can also get a visual alert.

Select the district and the taluka
Now the list of all the schools in the taluka will show. See your school name in it
Click on the name of the school – the school certificate will be downloaded

21st century is the century of knowledge. Goonotsav program was started to change the quality of education to survive in the knowledge century. There are three main goals of primary education. 1. Nomination 2. Settlement 3. Quality education. The state of Gujarat has achieved good results in nomination and settlement. Also the third goal is many efforts are being made to improve the quality of primary education. Thirdly, a novel experiment of Gunotsav has been done by the Gujarat government.
